Questions
Frequently asked.
Is Prai free?
Yes. Prai is free to use. There are no ads, and we don't sell your data.
Do I need an account?
No. The Bible reader, prayer journal, and church finder all work with no account. Sign-in exists only for optional online features, like connecting with a congregation.
Does Prai work offline?
Yes. The full Bible, your prayers, and your journal all work with no internet connection. Once you've opened Prai, it keeps working offline — and the read-aloud voice keeps going with your screen locked.
Is my data private?
Your reading, prayers and journal are stored on your device — not our servers. Optional online features (accounts, congregations) are clearly labeled and only send data when you choose to use them. See Privacy for the full picture.
Is Prai on the App Store or Google Play?
Prai is a web app you can use and install right now from this site. A Google Play version is on the way.
How do I install Prai on my phone?
Open prai.live/app in your phone's browser, then choose Add to Home Screen (iPhone, in Safari's share menu) or Install app (Android, in Chrome's menu). It installs like a normal app and works offline.
Which Bible translations are included?
Prai includes public-domain translations: the World English Bible (WEB) and the King James Version (KJV).
Can our church use Prai?
Yes. Churches and small groups can pilot Prai for free — see Prai for churches.
